THE Shire is donating $13,200 to Bicycle Victoria.

Why?

The vote was 5 to 0.

Was there a cyclist among those five?

Do they realise each rider pays around $100 per day to participate in these rides?

All this covers is three meals a day, a shower, toilet, and place to put your tent.

I cycled with these people here in 2006.

Rode from Margaret River to Albany for $42–and it cost $700 to come back.

Work out $100 times 2,500 riders per day, that should be enough profit to go back to Victoria.

Our cyclists here really need a safe place to ride, even to Cowaramup or Augusta.
