Crossing unattended

17/09/2008 10:11:00 AM
I AM writing as a concerned parent to ask if the local police could tell me why our children crossing on the highway was unattended on Wednesday.

They were notified that the regular crossing attendant couldn’t do it that afternoon.

I have two children that cross there every day and know how busy it is after school with extra children crossing for sport training on the ovals.

I know that the crossing attendant gave them notice as she apologised to me on the Monday for being late for work as she had to drop a letter off (to the police) to say she was unable to attend the crossing on Wednesday the September 10.
