The Brisbane Lions have traded forward utility Anthony Corrie to Collingwood in return for sixth round selection pick No. 93 in next month's national draft.
The Lions first drafted Corrie in 2002, but he was rookie listed at the end of 2006 after a knee reconstruction which saw him miss most of the 2007 season.
After being elevated off the rookie list in 2008 he played 20 games and kicked 21 goals in the senior squad.
The 24 year-old played 53 matches for the Lions and kicked 48 goals.
Head of the football department Graeme Allan said the Lions wanted to do the right thing by Corrie in return for his years of service.
"Anthony is a fine young man but as a club we decided that we would delist him on 31 October," Allan said.
"Therefore, it was important for us to do the right thing and find him a new home, so that he wouldn't have to go through the national draft or pre-season draft as a reward for all his efforts.
"We certainly wish Anthony all the very best with his future down at Collingwood next year."
