A man's body has been found at Maryborough on Queensland's Fraser Coast.

Police said a passer-by found the body in the car park of St Mary's Church in Bazaar Street about 7.55am.

Police are treating the death as suspicious at this time. The scene has been cordoned off.

A spokeswoman said the man, who is of unknown age, was not carrying any form of identification.
