The challenge, which takes place on the weekend of October 11 and 12 and promises to be full of action.

Competitors and spectators alike will revel in the thrills and spills as around 250 riders compete in a series of events during the two-day challenge.

This year will see some tough competition with riders coming from interstate and abroad.

MX Champion holder for the past three years Michael Addison, will be defending the title against an experienced field including visiting American Motorcycle Association Champion Clint Shealy.

Approximately 50 local riders will compete in the challenge, including the brothers Troy and Wade Shephard from Augusta who have continued to perform consistently well.

Motocross is run on tracks shaped from natural terrain and produces fast, close and exciting racing.

It’s one of the most physically demanding forms of motorcycle sports testing both rider and machine to the limit.

Up to 1000 spectators are expected to pack into Jindong Park this weekend to watch the competition.

The junior MX challenge will be held on Saturday with competitors as young as seven taking to the course.

The senior MX challenge will be held on Sunday with 16 and older competing in the senior division.

The veteran’s division is open to those over 35 years of age.

Practice sessions start at 8.15am with each day’s competition starting at 9am.

Entry is free on Saturday with adult tickets available on Sunday for $20. Children under 16 are free.
